are cans/bottles heavier when crushed or are they heavier un-crushed while recyling?
if u know how many bags u would need to make a decent amount of money.. its much appreciated aswell.

A crushed can weighs the same as a can not crushed. However, you can fit more cans in a smaller space when crushed, so the bag full of crushed cans would weigh more than a bag full of intact cans, as long as they are the same size.
They would weight the same crushed or uncrushed. You can get more in a bag if crushed so a crushed bag full would weight more.
Is this a trick question? Ultimately, I would think that the cans/bottles would weigh the same crushed or not…as far as the amount of bags you would need? Hmmm…I am not sure.
getting an understanding of the concept of mass vs volume would help you with this dilema.
in the chicago area i get about 72 cents a pound or about 30 cans
3 -30 gallon trash bags got me $13.50 (crushed)
a bag of crushed cans would weigh more than a bag of equal size of none crushed cans just because you can fit more crushed cans in that bag.I would not recommend crushing bottles as they would break and make a real mess and would probably not be accepted where you are taking them.
1 pound is going up for 69 cents I made up to 6.00 dollars
