Even if global warming is fake we should still be recyling? What do you think?
And to those who say recycling can be more expensive, I say if the prices go up enough as they will inevitably do, then recycling will actualy become much cheaper when compared to starting from stratch.
My point is, nobody can deny the Earths resources will run out even if global warming is proved wrong.
Obviously one can argue we should not have to cut Carbon levels but think for a minute? Fossil fuels are generally rising in price because they are getting harder to find. Also the prices of some metals where getting rather high before the financial crises and I think the are beginning to pick up again. I’ve heard stories of buglers going to great lengths and taking the copper from the wires of the High Speed Rail and the lead from old church roofs. Plus if the price of petrol goes up enough people will attempt yo steal it from your car.
Plus many (if not all) plastics are made form oil and if we run out of oil then we cannot make new plastic. And I’m sure many of you know how much fun Lego bricks and such are for children, besides the fact that we can’t live without it because think how many things use plastics. The very keyboard I used to type this question or the speakers connected to my computer. Also think about the effects plastic has on the environment. We can cleary see how it damages ecosystems. Plastic isn’t technically bio degradable in most cases since it can take hundreds of years apparently simply because Mother Nature can’t cope with it. If we recycled it then it would save us from making more. If we put it in a landfill it goes to waste and we could make much better use of it by recycling.
It’s all very logical really. Even a society that doesn’t cut Carbon should be reusing and thus recycling. The benefits are undeniable.
Instead of constantly clamouring about Carbon I think the new buzz word should be recylce. If we can sell that properly Carbon emissions will be reduced anyway.
Global warming is real

but we indeed should be recycling and taking care of the environment regardless. Steps to mitigate global warming tend to have these additional environmental and economic benefits.
Every moderate and conservative I know recycles everything they can. It is liberals that throw things that can be recycled on other peoples lawns so they do not have to take it home and put it in the recycling box. In my neighborhood the moderates and conservatives put out full recycle bins every week. The liberals never have anything in the recycle bin to put out for the city because they have dumped it on their neighbors yards. Half of what I put in my bin every week is picked up off my front lawn and I hear the same complaint from most of my neighbors. Only the 2 liberals on the block do not complain and also I have never seen them put out a recycle bin either.
Some scientific information revealing the truth about global warming, when it happened and what probably caused it. And as well how many years, centuries or millennia it might be before the world warms up again from the coming ice age.

only read the main question but… of course. even a pretty far right winger like me thinks we should.
Sure recycling is ok. There’s a lot of money in recycling.
Sure, why not? I’m thinking that the mining rights to the existing landfills in a 1000 years or so could be very lucrative.
Yes and this guy who is blaming liberals for throwing bottles on his lawn is a little off his rocker if you ask me. I am a big recycler ( and liberal) Although I do not have "full" recycling bins because I try to not even use products that need to be recycled. I like to use a water bottle that is reuseable for a long period of time to help further reduce our planet’s rate of resource depletion.
Zero waste societies require renewable energies also: Think tailings from mines (coal, etc), etc…
This overpopulation problem. Sometimes I just think that no one has any imagination. In most industrialized countries the mainstream population is decreasing. The USA is an exception. Wining about how there is This Problem, and there is Nothing we can do that will stop it in the long run is NO way to stop the problem. So sad…
The mere act of trying to solve things open up better solutions.
Of course I should answer the question:
Yes, duh…
recycling will only make you feel better about yourself which is the whole point of it. Self -serving, self – important, delusional humans. You want to recycle something that will actually make a difference? start recycling humans kill off maybe 1/3 or 2/3 of us and things will be fine. As long as the population continues to grow to its absurd numbers there will continue to be problems no matter what we do to help the environment.
Global Warming is real although not caused by humans as its natural
Recycling is a great idea particularly as resources will become much more limited as population grows and potentially doubles to 12 Billion people by the end of the century! (UN Estimates)
@ bucket, you can never trust wikipedia for real info, anyone can edit those pages
honestly, i don’t think any one really knows if global warming is real. Whether it is or not, of course you should recycle. there has been plenty of word out that global warming is natural but do we really want to make it BECAUSE of humans?
