How can I make a micro climate to make a warmer place to grow plants?

What do I have to do to make a micro climate for plants?
We live in the North of England in a windy spot.
How do I know where to plant trees for shelter?
What else can I use to make the micro climate warmer?

    NICHES
    build a niche ,
THINK OF THE COLD AS WATER and it can drain away so the best place is always on a slight slope .
make a series of wide gutters that drain to the lowest end .

If on the flats still make the wide gutters and have the plants raised .

It should at the minimum be in a area 20 meters across ,so that the surrounding trees crowns leave space in the middle for the sun and have low stuff on the sunny side so that all of the sun can enter

Close the sides with compact growing stuff ,such as bamboo or reeds or bushes and also close it at the ground level with lower plants,
so that by the end you have a closed surrounding wall of vegetation

    PAREA DAIZAS(walled gardens)

The rich people build a big wall .
this is where the word Paradise comes from.

As made by Babur ,and Kubli Kahn
Huge walled gardens with their own climate inside ,often hundreds of kilometers in size ,including forests for hunting
the Old city of Delhi .was one ,and the Taj Mahal was a teahouse in another .

Have plenty of trees the crowns acting as a roof to contain humidity and lessen evaporation.

if done completely this can make a difference of 10 degrees centigrade ,
my garden in Mexico is 10 centigrade cooler that the outside ,often much more ,but i don`t let the sun in .

It also works the other way if you let in the heat and contain it .

also have a hot house Glass or plastic to start things of before the warm comes ,and with lights you can fool the plants into thinking its still day time so they keep growing ,but with a times or a restless husband ,because the lights must be off at least for 2 or 3 hours

Always have a heavy cover of mulch to contain the ground heat .
if it is composing stuff (green mulch ,rotting away)it will get even hotter

You mean besides building a green house?
I think you should just wait for a few years and global warming will take care of the problem for you.

south-facing walls and corners are excellent for providing shelter from cool winds. any corners which catch the afternoon sun, are partially raised (leading to increased heating of the soil by the sun’s rays) and are protected by walls or other structures from cool winds will result in a warmer microclimate to grow plants in.

to shelter homes from wintertime winds, evergreen shelterbelts on the north or west have been used successfully in the american midwest for decades. to shelter from the summertime sun, deciduous trees planted on the south and west sides of houses work well. if the prevailing winds in your locality are different, adjust your plantings accordingly.

glass-enclosed greenhouses can help lengthen the growing seasons for your smaller more portable plants. raised beds outside will have warm soil earlier in the season than sunken ones.
