The biggest problem that China will face in the future is mercury contamination from coal combustion. The mercury will stay in the environment for many decades and affect a huge portion of their coastal fisheries as well as ground water contamination.

China is threatened by two major sources of pollution. The electronics and the coal that they use in the industries.
Electronics are non biodegradable and worse still they are radioactive elements. In the long run the adverse effects of such pollutants is gene mutation, infertility or sterility and brain tumors.
The use of coal leads to release of too much carbon dioxide in to the atmosphere. This increases global warming. It also encourages the formation of dirty acidic rain. In the long run china will be a black water country.

I think the impact of China’s air pollution not only affected the mainland and neighboring cities, but globally. There are too many published articles raised the matter as matters public concern and what remedy action (policy)to prevent the wide spread of air pollution affecting the other continent, and the state of California.

On top of the air pollution, the industrial contamination as a matter of global concern that already affected the many in Hong Kong and many cities in all provinces in China.

The future of China is dim and the SAR (Special Administration Region) of Hong Kong is going to economic collapse soon caused by the too high health cost due to air pollution and contaminated drinking water, plus Hong Kong civil servants and real estate are the highest prices in this world. Hong Kong and China are sucked for bad systems in terms of highest civil servants paid in Hong Kong and most expensive piece real estate in this world. China is absolutely polluted and contaminated.
