Is the air pollution bad in the winter in the urban area you reside in?
I *rarely* have respiratory problems, and if I do it is in the Spring with allergies. But last winter and this winter in the SF Bay Area I have had both allergy and cold symptoms, I think because the air pollution is so bad here right now because this January we have hardly had any rain and the air is dirty from vehicle emissions and burning wood.
Granted, there is too much dust in my apartment but that will by gone by this Thursday when I have professional cleaners clean my place way better than I do, but the last few weeks I have had to fight off a head cold from moving down into my chest like it did last year.
I think that the local Bay Area media is avoiding covering the terrible winter air quality.
How much is the water bill in California?
apparently some f***ing black kids in my neighborhood (typical), decided to have fun by turning on the outdoor faucet in my front yard and leaving it there.
They have been doing it a lot recently, and I usually don’t notice it until hours later…
I live in a ghetto apartment in Sacramento, California. I just want to know what are the water bill rates here.
Can pollution from cars get into a building?
I live in an apartment next to a high-traffic road, and it’s really hot so I often open the window for fresh air. But is it possible that the pollution from the cars’ exhaustion pipes get into my apartment? Thank you
what temperature should my water heater be at?
I’m a family of four, and in the morning, usually two-three of us take showers after each other. We don’t really use hot water that much. Our laundry is done not using our water (we live in an apartment) and we don’t use the dishwasher too much. I’ve heard keeping the water heater at 125 F is warm enough to take showers and do things around the house, and hot enough to kill jerms, yet not too hot and result in saving energy. What is the ideal temperature for a water heater? Also, do those water heater blankets really work in keeping the heater warm and saving energy? I’m thinking of buying one. And when winter comes along, should I rise my water heater temperature? I live in So Cal, so it doesn’t really get that cold, but still; should it be higher in the winters?
Is it considered “littering” to throw old fruits and vegetables into a lake?
There is a small lake/ pond just outside the balcony of our apartment. Instead of having to keep smelly fruits and veggies in the garbage can, we thought it would be a better idea to just toss some off into the lake every once in a while. Is that alright to do, or is it the same as littering?
