Question: How does the melting of the polar ice caps affect our climate?
I have to include fossils, ice core data and climate change models, but anything will help. Thanks

Answer:

Answer by dk
Melting ice caps affect our climate buy flooding at and near sea level area like florda and california and affecting islands and low rainforest, deserts, and other low habitats. also affecting already endangered animals like poler bears, seals, and pengwins. also would affect over water oil wells and bridges and more water in the ocean means more water evaporated and the more rain and snow and hail and that would mean erosion and erosion would flatten mountains. the rain would also increase rivers even more than we have in mississippi at the moment. the rising rivers would cause home destruction and would cause more earthquakes and the extra rain and warmth would cause even more ice to melt and might even ending up with palm trees in the rocky mountains and aligaters in alaska which there were 90 million years ago and could be possible because CO2 levels are rising so fast the water level should be 22 feet higher in the next 100 years. I know that dosent seam to high but if we dont do supthing people will die, and so will animals like dogs and cats.

Specifically I DO NOT wish to know why you do NOT believe in it. Sorry for the CAPS – it is just that people like to answer their own question – not the one I have asked. Thank you again.
