Honestly, do you know the consequences of air pollution and global warming?
I’m doing a research project for 8th grade Social Studies. To help answer my thesis question, I would like to take a poll. Please, no spam answers or effortless answers.
Do you know that air pollution and global warming could lead to:
Trillions of dollars wasted on attempts to stop global warming
Damage to our lakes, causing fish to die and slowing our eco-system
Increased death rates from deadly fumes in the air (4.6 million people die per year today!)
Increased temperature resulting in the number and intensity of floods, droughts, hurricanes, heat waves, and species extinction
This is not all. There are many things that will hurt us. Please answer honestly.
Aks other people you know if they know about these effects. I need a lot of results.
How does taking short, cold showers help the environment?
And how does saving energy help the environment?
But how does saving energy help the environment?
Nobody has answered why using a lot of energy is bad for the environment…
Amy, you said something about eating fish. I thought environmentalists didn’t eat meat because of all the slaughter house pollution and such? I read something about it once, but can’t remember all the bad stuff that comes from it.
Conservatives, do you realize that are other reasons to cut pollution besides Global Warming?
Fine. Go ahead and don’t believe in Global Warming, archeology, or biology. But there are other more immediate reasons to cut pollution: holes in the ozone causing cancer, smog conditions leading to increased rates of asthma and allergies, rivers with inedible fish, and the destruction of the habitats of animals that YOU enjoy hunting.
Heck, you could even be against pollution for efficiency reasons. Anytime a company dumps something in the trash or pumps it into our atmosphere it is wasted energy, just like radiant heat or vibration is wasted energy.
This is an ecology question: When a brown bear eats a salmon, does the bear acquires all the energy contined?
in the body of the fish? why or why not?
What would happen if ocean pollution and overfishing continue?
What would happen if ocean pollution and overfishing continue? Fish and other marine creatures would all die, but what else? I know the answer, but I can’t really put it into words.
Also, how much of the Earth’s population is dependent on marine life for food? It’s pretty high I remember, but I can’t find the exact thing.
