Which is more important, the environment or freedom of choice?

California and 16 other states arethinking about seriously cutting emissions standards. California lawmakers want to bring carbon emissions back down to where they were in 1990.

What do you think is more important: freedom to choose the car you drive or the environment?

Is the real threat from GW the billions of dollars that have been funneled away from pollution clean up?

Years and years ago(before the global cooling scare), to be Environmentally aware meant to care about the actual environment.
Such as cleaning up pollution, cleaning up litter, managing wildlife and national forests. Now it seems its about making laws that skyrocket taxes, destroy economies, restrict freedom or indoctrinate young children into this religion of global warming.

Is the environment worth giving up freedom for?

Is the environment worth giving up freedom for? Lets say you support the environment, but you live too far from work to walk or bicycle. This obviously means taking motorized transportation. If you travel in your own car you can take your firearm with you, but you’ll be polluting. If you travel by mass transit (bus, light rail, subway) you won’t be polluting, but you’ll be arrested if you take your firearm with you. Do we really need to give up our right to keep and bear arms for the environment? I don’t know about you, but I’m a US citizen and I want freedom.
