Is it illegal to throw a banana peel out the window of a car?
I usually don’t throw garbage out the window of a car but banana peels are the one exception I’ve made in the past… Someone had convinced me that it was ok since they are biodegradable but now that I think about it, a lot of things are biodegradable…
So, I’m guessing the answer is yes but I’d just like to verify…
Throwing banana peels out the window of a car, on the ground, or someplace public other than a trash can is littering, correct?
Which is worse for the environment, putting wet garbage down the disposal or sending it to the landfill?
I put my wet garbage into plastic bags and send to the landfill. Composting is not an option.
I have assumed that sending it through the disposal and ultimately into the river would be worse for the environment. Am I right?
What do you think is the most important environmental problem that affects coastal environments?
What do you think is the most important environmental problem that affects coastal environment and their watersheds? Why? How would you solve the problem?
This is not a question for school or anything. Just my own thoughts.
My answer to this question would have to be about the littering that goes into the ocean. As the tide washes ashore, I feel that more and more garbage comes with it. Last week, I managed to find some underwear that washed ashore and I was thoroughly disgusted!
What do you think?
What do you think of my idea to help the environment?
Don’t you think it would help the environment if we sent all our garbage and waste into outerspace? We could make a galactic landfill right there at the international space station. What do you think?
If we continue to raise awareness about garbage pollution, how much better will the earth become in the future?
If we continue to raise awareness about garbage pollution, how much better will the earth become in the futu?
instead of the negative things that can happen to our earth in the future, if we continue to recycling, raise garbage pollution awareness, find ways to reduce garbage, etc. what are possible benefits for the earth in the future? how much of an impact will our efforts make?
Why are people so insensitive about the environment?
I still see people throwing garbage out their car windows, wasting fresh water even in the most developed places. Why does this still happen after everything that is being said and done about the environment. Is this within human nature to not care about tomorrow?
What about the states who do not participate in recycling???
I was wondering…since we are obviously polluting our selves off of our planet…slowly but surly…..and the government is supposedly so concerned about it…..WHY ARE THERE STILL STATES THAT DO NOT PARTICIPATE IN RECYCLING????
I looked for a list of the states who do not recycle and couldnt find one but I travel to Tenn often and know that Tenn doesnt do its share in recyling. Everyone throws away plastic bottles, glass bottles, and cans…everyone in Tenn just throws them into the freaking garbage. INTO THE GARBAGE!
So what gives? If the government is as concerned about the planet that we are slowly killing…why does the government not MANDATE every single state to recycle?
Another thing I thought about…you know how everyone is talking about plastic water bottles? Wouldnt it be a GREAT IDEA if the bottle return machines at grocery stores accepted the water bottles?! Even tho they wouldnt give money for returning them-it would be a great outlet to recycle them!
Does recycling Really Work?
Weve been told for years to recycle but ive done research that proves its a bad Idea. And it cost 5 times more than garbage 1 ton of trash cost 12 dollars with recyling cost 64 dollars a ton pluss the polution of tansporting out of the local area to the factory and most of what you get is junk because you can make new plastic paper and other stuff for half of what the recycling plants charge i herd its good to reyuse alminum because it is in high demand right now . aI feel it is just pouint less bissey work the goverment does to keep people happy because half of it get thrown away any ways. And it also cost tax payers Billions of dollars every year
Baby steps into living green?
K. i’d like some tips, steps, and advice to living more green.
and trust me i am talking baby steps (i just started recyling last week for the first time in my life – grew up in the country so we just burned our garbage) what do you all recomend. i am not ready to jump on any band wagon just yet. but i wouldn’t mind trying a few things first. and also is it worth buying organic if there is no real way to be sure it is in canada?
do we have to pay to recycle?
I really don’t get it, do I have to pay to recycle? Can I just get a recycle bin and put it out, then the garbage turck will pick it up? My mom says "if only recyling were free that she would do it."
Oh then where can I get a recycle bin?
