What is the formula for sea water expansion due to warming?

How does this relate to Global Warming theory?

For example, water expands when frozen (don’t know how much), due to crystalization, and is most dense at 36 degrees farenheit.

What are the numbers that describe total sea volume change (hence sea level), when reduction in volume from melting ice is combined with expansion of water above 36 degrees?

Is there a timeline for contraction/expansion assuming a steady increase in global temperature (even by 1 or 2 degrees)?

Do these phenomena explain inconsistencies in sea level observations/projections with regard to global temperature?

Why are pot smoking hippies in denial about damaging the ecology?

Besides the damage to forests, dangerous chemicals, and poaching of animals caused by pot growers, I bet those pot smoking hippies add to global warming and pollution with their nefarious habit. Why aren’t hippies more ashamed with the damage they do to the envirornment as well as the destruction to the community?

What are the issues of global warming and possible climate changes due to global warming?

What are the issues of global warming and possible climate changes due to global warming? I do believe that global warming is really happening and I have to support my opinion with facts about climate and global warming.

Whatever Happened To Recyling?

Today we hear more than ever about global warming or climate change. Whatever happen to recycle or recyling or plant a tree? I don’t beleive that global warming is real there’s no truth to that at all. If driving and flying and having a SUV is the cause of so-called global warming why not walk or ride a bike? What about the dust bowl in the 1930’s where was the SUV’s then?

Will more be done to protect the environment under the Obama administration?

Good riddance, George W. Bush. You oil executive. Eight years of choking the environment in air and water pollution. How many more days left of Mr. Disaster? Anyway, now that Obama will be our next President, will things begin to turn around for the environment? Will more attention be paid to Global Warming? Will Americans forget about trying to get the biggest SUV on the road and purchase cars that are compact and fuel efficient? Will consumers and shareholders demand that corporations have more accountability for the environment?

How can we reduce pollution in India, so we can reduce global warming?

As we all know, global warming is real and if we don’t stop it serious damage could take over the world-India’s population is very large and it counts for a large amount of pollution-So how can we reduce pollution in India? I thought about making traffic rules, so cars dont speed away and leave fumes everywhere but I think that isn’t very good. What do you think?
Monkey M. . .you know what you said about birth control? That’s true but mean. . . I woulda chosen u for best answer . . .but that idea of ‘punishing’ is cruel!

What evidence would be required to convince a believer that man cannot effect the climate?

Is there any scientific evidence that could be presented to a global warming believer that would change their minds?

What kind of evidence would be needed to show that believers that the climate always changes, if it’s not getting warmer the climate is cooling, or if the climate isn’t cooling, then it’s warming, there is no such thing as a static climate.

Or is their faith more like a religious faith where the strength of what you believe in is enough to make it true?

How can any country find enough water to cool nuclear power plants?

During the past few years of draught, several nuclear power plants were close to closing for lack of cooling water. Since every nuclear power plant needs enormous amounts of water, how can we even think of making it a major source of power when we need the water more than we need the electric power? Moreover, these plants significantly raise the water temperature at a time when we worry about global warming. Surely this alters the kinds of creatures that can live in those environments. Despite this concern and the lack of safe disposal or the production of plutonium, Mr. McCain wants 50 more plants in the USA. Any thoughts?

What percent of pollution comes from car emissions?

I am writing a paper on global warming and was wondering what percent of pollution comes from the exhaust from cars? Thanks!

Environment?

Ok, so it’s a fact that we’re destroying the environment. My question is, do you think it’s possible to save the environment and reverse the damage that has been done? Are scientists working actively with politicians to disciver alternative sources of energy that don’t cause global warming and excessive pollution? Or do we just not care? I am going to buy a hybrid so that I can do my part. I’m not a granola crunchy environmental freak, but I see way too many stories these days about climate changes and the ill effects of these changes on the world…like tsunamis, heat waves, etc.
