How are environmentalists and green energy plans NOT like Communists and five-year plans?
I’m trying to argue that this author (who uses this analogy) is using fallacious reasoning. What are some obvious differences?
The author’s writes the following:
"Just as 20th-century socialists savaged capitalism for all the world’s ills and offered worthless “five-year plans” as a replacement, so today’s environmentalists savage industrial energy and offer us “green energy plans” that they assure us will work–once we give them the power to forbid everything else that has already been proven to work."
Any ideas on disproving this?

Best way to compare the cost of fuels to green energy?
Hello,
I would like to compare the costs of the energy costs of the fuels we use today (non renewable) to the current cost of green energy (solar wind water etc). What is the best way to do this?
Where could a person find funding for a green energy invention ?
Someone I know is looking for funding to build a green energy invention. Can’t give details because inventions have to be protected, but if anyone knows of a real source of funding for this kind of thing your help would be nice. It has to be available to the average person though, not scientists and so on.
Also this invetion so far has no working models, but it does not use any kind of fuel and produces no pollution. It is a power unit that will be used to turn a generator to produce electric.
Why is green energy referred to as alternative energy?
Wouldn’t it make more sense to call it "green," "clean," or "renewable" energy? Just what exactly is green energy an alternative to? Is it an alternative to global warming, dependency on fossil fuels, deforestation, depletion of the earth’s resources, extinction of several species, and acid rain? Is it an alternative to fighting wars over oil, oil lobbyists trying to run the show, and large corporations getting tax breaks and large subsidies? It doesn’t sound like an alternative to me; it sounds like a solution. What do you think?

Is a green energy credit the same thing as a carbon credit?
I know how carbon credits are used but I noticed that some companies claim that they "buy green energy credits" as though it’s a positive thing. Don’t companies want to advertise that they sell credits because they don’t use all theirs up?
How green would a hydrogen car industry be in a world wide scale?
I have been reading a number of articles about changing to hydrogen cars and how it would result in a decrease in pollution. While it is true a hydrogen car would be a number of times cleaner than a regular gas car, I have a few doubts about how clean the hydrogen making process would be. If hydrogen obtained from water, wouldn’t it require a great deal of energy to get the hydrogen out of it? Wouldn’t the energy required to do this come from oil and the more traditional non-green energy sources? Overall, is the process for obtaining enormous amounts of hydrogen overall green at all?
