How can my class help the environment?

What are you doing to help the environment?
I have been trying my best to help the environment including: Not buying mouth rinse (instead I’m using salt water), cleaning with natural products(vinegar, baking soda and lemon juice), turning off the shower when I shave, unplugging electronics when I’m not using them, and using tote bags when I go shopping.
I was just wondering what tips you have on helping the environment. =)

The definition of "green" is such a loose term no one knows what it really means. As long as we encourage consumption in the society, we are not really helping the environment. What do you think?
How much does monthly recycling contribute to the environment?
I planned on starting to recycle every day items (cans, paper, bottles, etc) around my house instead of being wasteful and throwing them away. This was just so I could feel like I was helping the environment out a little bit. However, I wanted to know just how useful one person’s monthly recyclables are to helping the environment. Like 2 full garbage bags worth per month.
