I don’t know which degree I want to get while I am in college, I am very interested in both but I have heard many people say that I hope you are in Wildlife and Fisheries for the love because you don’t get paid for it. I was going to do Wildlife Biologist after that. Well I like to do that but I wanna make alot of money so I don’t really want to do that choice. What exactly does Rangeland and Ecology Management do? What kind of jobs can you get with that degree? When I get older I want to open a Ranch Resort where people come stay on your land for like a week for vacation and can shoot trophy deer, go fishing, go golfing, ride horses and just do other outdoor activities. So what should I do?

I’ve been considering majoring in Ecology. I’ve also been looking at some of the careers available and they all look fascinating. But I have yet to see one that pays more than 30k per year. Now I don’t care about money too much but I would like to at least live comfortably if I have a graduate degree. Do all ecology jobs pay that poorly?

What type of job could I get that would help with our environment with a associates degree or training on the job. Where do I start? Is there a list of jobs that I could do research on?
I’m a 30 year old male looking to help save our environment.

Sometimes certain businesses are needed for our society to function, yet their powerplants hurt the environment. For example, going ahead and allowing a polluting business to operate will create more jobs in this recession and provide needed things like energy, but it does hurt the environment.
What do ya’ll think some other pros and cons would be?

I am an undergrad at UC San Diego, and with a major of environmental studies…what are the outlooks of getting a good paying job after I graduate? (considering I have a BS degree)Are jobs dealing with the environment (esp bio) really grim right now?

First I know that everything can be tossed into the city dump but is there anything that can not be recycled?

second. (I know this will never happen) If it was required thatevery city dump have a recyling center would it then create more jobs(always a good thing) and also go a long way towards cleaning up this mess on our planet?

I am trying to compile a list of all of the current green (by green I mean any company working on sustainability issues) startups in Silicon Valley so that I can catagorize them, determine the amount of funding they have raised and how many jobs they have created.
