Q&A: What is the role of glaciers and oceans in the current climate and in possible climate change?

Question: What is the role of glaciers and oceans in the current climate and in possible climate change?
General questions to consider:

What are the glacial evidence of contemporary climate change?

How will sea level and weather changes relate to possible weather change?

How will the rise in sea level impact humans in the future?

How ill the melting of glaciers impact our ocean, ocean life, and human life?

Will the melting ice trigger a ice age? how are ice cores used to measure historical climate change?

What are some solutions to global warming (in a prospective of a hydrometerologist)

please include statistics, facts, and sources. THANKS!

Umm, that info is all available but you will have to write your own paper.
Check the IPCC and the Hadley Centre sites.

Another Ecology Question?

What are the effects of Man on the ecosystem with emphasis on examples of international importance (tropical rain forests, oceans, important rivers)

b. savanna
c. temperate forest

2) Moving along altitudinal and latitudinal gradients, you’ll find the same sequence of biomes. There are equivalent changes along the gradient in which of the following except

c. vegetation
d. day length

3) Which would be most helpful in solving the world’s environmental problems?

What college major would be good for the natural environment?

I love nature and its beauty. The mountains, lake, oceans, plains, and everything else in the world amaze me how much nature is valuable to us. The thing about my question is just asking for a opinion on what is a great college major that would be good for natural environment. By the way I am a sophomore at high school, but I am just planning on what is a good future for me. Also I love to film nature at times, which seem filming can be one choice… I think.

Do you agree?

That all schools are all enviormenttally safe? I disagree!
They have flush toilets with water, non recyled toilet paper,
syrofoam trays, filthy gyms, litter all over in the woods and animals’ habitiats, rivers, lakes and oceans containing trash and sewage from the schools, food wasting, schools are not accepting enviormenttally safe clubs to help the enviorment, schools have a few recyling bins for certain types of trash like bottles and also sinks not have having water saving thingies. Please answer and thank you for helping the enviorment and the animals!

Why is the Environment Section only about Global Warming and Climate Change?

There is so much more to the word Environment. No one ask questions about National Parks or Forest or oceans or nature in general, it’s all about global warming. I think it should be changed to Global Warming topic, or stay Environment but have other questions put in besides Global Warming, for some reason the same question is being asked over and over about the subject, look it up and ask a different question. Something besides this.

Why is the PH balance of the world's oceans being changed and what does that mean for ecology and for us?

The world’s oceans are becoming more acidic which in turn are damaging shell making organisms including coral reefs.
