You mean besides building a green house?
I think you should just wait for a few years and global warming will take care of the problem for you.

What are some ways that we waste water, OUTSIDE of the home?

When i say outside of the home, that doesn’t exclude hoses or excessive watering of plants or lawns. This is a tricky question. There are many ways we waste water inside of the home – taking showers instead of baths, leaving on the taps, etc. Outside is a whole ‘nother story. I can’t think of many ways we waste water outside.

Thanks to all that answer!

Help with a science project idea that has to do with the environment?

I’m in 11th grade and I need some science project ideas. While I can choose anything that is related to science, I’m hoping to do something that benefits the environment. However, I’m not interested in doing research (for example, working with plants). I really want to build something like a solar panel or something similar. As a student, my budget is limited and I need something that is relatively cheap. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks!

What plants are especially susceptible to pollution?

I’m performing an experiment in which used tire chemicals will be included in the subject plants water, and was wondering what plants would easily die from pollution.
Also, should I demonstrate this by planting a seed and watering it with only the poluted water, or use the water on an adult plant and look for an adverse reaction?

How is growing plants on a roof considered "green"?

At my local university, they just finished constructing the campus’ first "green" building. It has all the common items with solar panels for heating, rainwater collection bin, etc. However, the building features plants growing on the roof. How is this considered "green"? What purpose does that serve?
