I just got a recyling bin, and I wasn’t sure if you just put the recyclables in the recycling bin, or can you put them in a plastic bag? It said a paper bag on the pamphlet, but I never have any around, can you just put them in the bin?

Which do you feel is more important? Conserving water during a drought and foregoing recycling items that must be washed or rinsed out prior to recycling, or, using scarce water resources to prevent potential recyclables from taking space in a landfill?

Which is most important?

I planned on starting to recycle every day items (cans, paper, bottles, etc) around my house instead of being wasteful and throwing them away. This was just so I could feel like I was helping the environment out a little bit. However, I wanted to know just how useful one person’s monthly recyclables are to helping the environment. Like 2 full garbage bags worth per month.
