What is the most effective green herbicide for spot control of weeds?
There are new products on the market and older home remedies like vinegar. Which product to you think works best? I do not consider Roundup a green herbicide. Some of the new products have d-Limonene in them.
dog pee I have brown spots all over my lawn from my dog, anything acidic (vinegar) would be the ultimate in green herbicide
There is NO SUCH THING as a green herbicide.
Plants, even weeds, are living things too. (Dandelion is a weed to most, and it is ALSO a great salad green.)
Boiling water will work to spot kill weeds. You can add salt too. but make sure there is nothing close that you want to keep alive.
Your hands. No chemicals there.
Seriously. Just pull them out. That’s what I do and it works great.
Actually Round-Up is quite "green" it’s just basically water with sodium in it. It’s basically non-toxic to humans/mammals when used in it’s proper dilution ratio.
After reading some of the answers, I felt I had to add my 2 cents.
Round up is green which means that it is an organic material that readily breaks down. That does not mean it is safe to use around pets or humans. It is highly toxic.
Clorox has a nifty little product out now that is "green". Yes, it is 95% green ( as advertized) but it is that 5% that will kill you. Beware of slick advertising.
Green herbicide sounds like an oxymoron.
