What is the most tangible evidence of pollution you see?

What do you see in your daily life (in the real world, not on tv or cpu screens) that is evidence of pollution?

Well I live in New York City, so there’s definitely visible land population. There’s always crap on the sidewalks whether it’s cigarette butts, newspapers, or gum wrappers. The air and light pollution is so bad, there are no stars in the night sky. And the water pollution? -_-;;. The fishes have moved on to better things.

In D.C., the Potomac is definitely polluted. Dead fish wash up on shore, and there is algae overgrowth because of all the extra rotting waste. There is light pollution–I wanted to see a meteor shower but saw virtually nothing.

Smoke from auto exhaust, home heating, factories, open burning. Trash all over the place. Junk vehicles left out in fields and pushed water ways.

The smog that blocks the views of the mountains from my city. The litter ever where from city parks to oceans. When I dive I see the dead coral, the litter and fewer animals.

  • You're gonna love my nuts!:

    -Litter

-Motor oil in storm water runoff that goes directly into our water ways

-Air pollution (smog and smoke pollution)

-Industrial pollution that is dumped into the river

  • Sind:
